I live in Arlington. I have worked in Finance (Accounting, Purchasing, Inventory Control) for over 30 years. I have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackie Cantrell
Jackie Cantrell serves as the NIAA district administrative assistant. She has over 30 years’ experience working in schools as both a teacher and central office management. She is responsible for our School Reach system of parent school communication! Mrs. Cantrell received her BA in Religious Education from Calvary Theological Seminary. Her passion has always been for children. She and her family reside in Arlington. Her son Travis is a ninth grader at NIAA.
Mrs. Laverne Petty
Mrs. Laverne Petty serves as our ESL assistant and office aid. Mrs. Petty has worked in schools previously as a registrar. She earned her Bachelor of Science in General Business from Texas AM at Commerce. Mrs. Petty also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Video Production from North Lake Community College in Irving. She enjoys reading, cooking, her church activities, and being with family.
Mrs. Vanda Holder
Mrs. Vanda Holder is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in Spanish and French. She also attended school in Monterey, Mexico. She has advanced teaching certifications in AP French and Spanish, as well as ESL and Bilingual Education. This is her 28th year of teaching in Public and Charter Schools.
Mrs. Glenda Allee
Mrs. Glenda Allee is serving as the NIAA bookkeeper. She has more than 20 years of bookkeeping experience. She attended Pensacola Junior College and Liberty Bible College. She is from Pensacola, Florida.
Mrs. Julie Swackhammer
Mrs. Julie Swackhammer is administrating our Brook of Life Day Care and After School Program as well as working in our Pre-K Program.
Mrs. Natalie Sukumar
School Office Coordinator
Mrs. Natalie Sukumar: is our School Office Coordinator serving at the front desk. She has five years experience in a school environment serving kindergarten through 9th grade. She has a Bachelor of Business Management from Ramakrishna College for Women in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu-India. She has also attended schools in Fiji and Australia and has varied work experiences. Natalie has been a PIEMS manager. Mrs. Sukumar enjoys hiking, reading, art and fashion.
Mr. Paul Fegan
Mr. Paul Fegan is directing our Facilities and Maintenance this year. He also serves with the coaching staff.

Wendy Tufuor is the Secretary to the Principal at NIAA. Ms. Tufuor holds a Diploma in Practical Theology from Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas; a Bachelor's in Communication Theory and a Master's in Higher Education Administration, both from Dallas Baptist University. Ms. Tufuor has served in Administration/Leadership at Fellowship of Joy, City Chapel, & currently at Practical Christian Church. She is passionate about Education, Administration, & Missions. She feels blessed and fortunate to be a part of the Newman family.
Mr. Eduardo Mataitis
Audio and Video Coordinator
Mr. Eduardo Mataitis is an Audio and Video Coordinator, Video Producer, Web Master at Newman International Academy, and POWWOW Music Teacher. He has a Bachelor of Business Management from Dallas Baptist University, Audio and Video Technical Arts Degree. He attended Electrical Engineering University (UMC) in Brazil. He has fifteen years experience Video and Music Producer. Also, he has a degree in Electronic with 13 years experience.
Mrs. Judy Carey
School Photographer / Asst. Media Coordinator
Judy Carey is a member of the Texas Professional Photographer's Association and has completed many photography courses at Texas A&M, UTA, and Sam Houston State University. She has taught photography at the secondary level for 13 years and is passionate about children and their education. Currently at NIAA, she is a media/tech assistant, school photographer, yearbook producer/ coordinator and historian. She has six children and eleven grandchildren to keep her busy when she is not taking photographs.
Mrs. Jenny Winter
Mrs. Jenny Winter has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from University of Texas at Arlington. She is a Registered Nurse with several years’ experience at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth where she worked full time on the Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit.

I am the Food Services Supervisor for NIAA with studies in Hospitality Management and Nutrition. I am currently studying in the field of Dietetics. I love food and enjoy serving others. I am married and have two boys that attend Newman. I enjoy singing, reading to my kids using different accents, and watching movies with my family. My favorite movie is Frozen, along with my favorite character being Elsa.
