NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR 2022-2023:
Welcome to the Newman International Academy Admissions & Enrollment Page. Please read the following instructions carefully.
In order to secure your child's seat at the Newman campus of your choice, you will need to complete a Charter Student Admission Application. Upon submitting a Charter Student Admission Application, the following steps will need to be completed in order to finalize your child's enrollment.
Step 1. Submit items 1-3 in bold below under Required Documents (current utility bill, discipline records (grades 1-12) & income eligibility (Pre-K).
Step 2. Newman will contact you to schedule a Personal Informational Meeting.
Step 3. At the Informational Meeting (or immediately afterward), submit the remaining required documents listed below.
Required Documents:
□ 1. Utility Bill (proof of address)
□ 2. Discipline Records/Discipline letter from previous school—only required for grades 1-12 (Pursuant to TEC 12.111 (a) (6), NIA may deny admission to students with documented histories of a criminal offense, juvenile court adjudication, or discipline problems under TEC Chapter 37 A. )
□ 3. SNAP, TANF, Medicaid or other Income Eligibility—required for Pre-K only (used to establish eligibility for free schooling)
□ Student’s Birth Certificate (copy)
□ Student’s Social Security Card/Passport (copy)
□ Parent/Guardian’s Driver’s License (copy)
□ Report Card (most recent copy)
□ Immunization Records (Student cannot attend without current immunizations or an exemption on file.)
□ Completed Enrollment Packet
Required Documents (if applicable to student):
□ Transcript for grades 9-12
□ Special Education, 504 & Dyslexia Records (Full individual evaluation, eligibility report, & last ARD or 504 form)
□ Guardian/Conservator paperwork
□ Department of Family and Protective Services paperwork
□ Military Dependent paperwork
