Newman International Academy Performing Arts
Here at Newman, we focus on building the whole person. Our Performing Arts Departments aims to build young student performers with a true heart of dedication, discipline, and focus. We fine-tune talents and prepare them for their career paths. We build students of Wisdom, Stature, and Favor as we foster both technical skill development and creative exploration within various disciplines. This includes providing opportunities for students to develop their abilities in areas such as music, dance, and theater while also encouraging them to think critically, collaborate, and express themselves creatively.
Our program offers a variety of courses and activities to cater to different interests including Music Theory, Music History, Ensemble Performance (Band, Orchestra, and Choir), Music Composition, Instrument Study, Instrumental Rehearsals, POWWOW Band, and much more.
We offer dance classes with focuses on ballet, modern dance, jazz dance, tap dance, contemporary dance, and choreography.
Our Theater Department offers instruction in acting, voice and movement training, stagecraft, playwriting, directing, and theater history.
Newman International Academy's Performing Arts Department has trained and prepared many gifted performers in all these disciplines and we are very proud to see our current and former students fulfill their dreams!
