The CS Lewis and Classical Literature co-curricular class is a worldview study that involves a study of the featured artist’s work. The artists may vary some, but will always include CS Lewis, William Shakespeare, and J.R.R. Tolkien. The class involves not only reading from these literary giants, but also in-depth, in-class discussions regarding the positions taken by the authors and their fictional characters. The class may also include skits and performances— both in the class, and for the general population of the school— to illustrate the philosophies of the characters in these works.
