Newman students are excelling in vocabulary – and our test scores prove it! Newman International Academy uses Membean, an online vocabulary program, in all English classes (grades 5-12). Membean personalizes instruction based on each student’s skill level, and students learn at their own pace, being assessed only on words they have mastered through weekly practice. Membean recently notified several Newman secondary English teachers regarding the proficiency of their students. Across the board, Newman students from various grade levels are performing in the top 5% and 10% of students worldwide (at schools that use Membean). Newman’s secondary English teachers credit Membean with the high vocabulary scores reflected across various testing platforms.
