Newman International Academy is currently enrolling for grades PreK3–12 for the 2026–2027 school year. We are also enrolling new Texas students for grades 9–12 in the Newman Virtual Academy. The process remains the same; please choose Newman Virtual Academy on the campus drop-down menu.
PK3 and PK4 families
PK3 and PK4 are tuition-free for families that meet the qualifications. Enrollment is still available if the qualifications are not met, but will be tuition-based.
How It Works
Five steps to your first day
Newman is a first-come, first-served district. Please read the following instructions carefully.

Complete the TEA Charter School Application
Start with the TEA Charter School Application. Families applying to Newman Virtual Academy use the same application and choose “Newman Virtual Academy” as the campus.

Set up your Warrior Enroll account
You will receive an automated email receipt confirming your TEA Charter Application was submitted. This email includes instructions for setting up your Parent/Guardian “Warrior Enroll” account.

Complete Warrior Enroll registration
Complete Warrior Enroll Registration sections #1–8. These sections must be completed for enrollment. Sections #9–13 and all supporting documents must be submitted within 30 days of the enrollment date.
PK3 and PK4 families must complete Sections 1–8 as well as Sections 11–13 before enrolling.

Attend the Principal Informational Meeting
You and your child(ren) will be contacted by the campus to attend a Principal Informational Meeting.

Receive your seat offer and start date
Following this meeting, we will notify you if you have been offered a seat at Newman International Academy, along with your start date.

Documentation
Pack your enrollment backpack
Gather these documents before you begin. All supporting documents must be submitted within 30 days of the enrollment date.
Required for all applicants
7 items-
Utility bill as proof of residence.

Discipline records or a discipline letter from the previous school.Per HB 6, students may be denied admission if they have: (i) engaged in conduct related to placement in a disciplinary alternative education program or juvenile justice alternative education program under Section 37.006; (ii) engaged in conduct related to expulsion under Section 37.007; or (iii) been convicted of a criminal offense or received a juvenile court adjudication.

Copy of the student’s birth certificate.

Copy of the student’s Social Security card or passport.

Copy of the parent or guardian’s driver’s license.

Copy of the student’s most recent report card.

Immunization records.Students cannot attend without current immunizations or an exemption on file.
Required if applicable

Transcript or transcripts for students in grades 9–12.

Special Education, Section 504 and dyslexia records, including the full individual evaluation, eligibility report and most recent ARD or Section 504 form.

Guardian or conservator paperwork.

Socio-economic paperwork.

Military dependent paperwork, SNAP, TANF or other income eligibility documentation when establishing eligibility for free Pre-K.PK3 and PK4 are tuition-free for families that meet the qualifications. Enrollment is still available if the qualifications are not met, but will be tuition-based.

Home Language Survey.Texas requires a Home Language Survey for every student enrolling in a Texas public charter school for the first time. This survey is attached to the end of the enrollment packet.
Warrior Enroll sections #1–8 must be completed for enrollment. Sections #9–13 and all supporting documents can follow within 30 days of the enrollment date.

When should I apply?
Newman is a first-come, first-served district, so the earlier you complete the TEA Charter School Application, the better. Seats are offered after the Principal Informational Meeting.
