Great Achievement for Newman High School Students!
Good morning
We are excited to share some great news—10 students at Newman International Academy were invited today to claim their awards through the College Board National Recognition Program!
The National Recognition Program honors high-achieving students within the context of their communities, celebrating their hard work while increasing their visibility to colleges. Students may earn up to three award designations: School Recognition, First-Generation Recognition, and Rural/Small-Town Recognition.
Colleges use this program as part of their recruitment efforts, helping them identify and connect with talented students from diverse backgrounds and communities.
Students are selected based on exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT™ 10, or AP® exams. The eligibility verification process takes approximately five minutes and requires students to share their GPA and confirm they meet the award criteria. All students who meet the requirements will receive an award.
I would also like to take a moment to thank our outstanding teams at the NICH and Gibbins campuses. This achievement would not be possible without the strong partnership between our dedicated Academic Counseling/CCMR team and our exceptional principals.
Thank you to Hannah Scherer, Laura Alfaro, Alicka Cullison, and Sheila Jacob for your continued commitment to supporting our students and helping them achieve their dreams.
