Newman Academy is a first-come, first-served District. Please read the following instructions carefully:

  1. Complete TEA Charter School Application

    ( https://newmanacademy.gracesoft.com/WarriorEnroll/ui/tea )

  2.  You will receive an automated email receipt to confirm TEA Charter Application submitted. This email will include instructions on how to set up your Parent/Guardian 'Warrior Enroll' account.

  3. Complete 'Warrior Enroll' Registration- Section #1-8. These sections must be completed for enrollment. Sections #9-13 and all documents must be submitted within 30 days of enrollment date. Note: PK3 and PK4 must complete section 1-8 as well as section 11-13 before enrolling.
  4. You and your child(ren) will be contacted by the campus to attend a Principal Informational Meeting.
  5. Following this meeting, we will notify you if you have been offered a seat at Newman International Academy, along with your start date.

Please note: Any falsification of records or omission of information is grounds for immediate dismissal and may prevent NIA from providing required services for your student. Please call the campus office with any questions.

 

Required Documents:

  1. Utility Bill (proof of residence)
  2. Discipline Records/Discipline letter from previous school. Students will not be enrolled in the following circumstances: According to HB 6: Students who have (i) engaged in conduct outlined in Section 37.006 related to placement in a disciplinary alternative education program or a juvenile justice alternative education program; (ii) engaged in conduct outlined in Section37.007 related to expulsion; or (iii) been convicted of a criminal offense or has a juvenile court adjudication may be denied admission. 
  3. Student’s Birth Certificate (copy)

4. Student’s Social Security Card/Passport (copy)
5. Parent/Guardian’s Driver’s License (copy)
6. Report Card (most recent copy)
7. Immunization Records (Student cannot attend without current immunizations or an exemption on file).
Required Documents (if applicable to student):
8. Transcript(s) for grades 9-12
9. Special Education, 504and Dyslexia Records (Full individualEvaluation,EligibilityReport, & last ARD or 504 form)
10. Guardian/Conservator paperwork
11.Socio-Economic paperwork
12. Military Dependent paperwork, SNAP, TANF, or other Income Eligibility (if establishing free Pre-K eligibility)
13. Home Language Survey: Texas requires a Home Language Survey be completed for ALL students enrolling in a Texas Public Charter School for the first time. (This survey is attached to the end of the Enrollment Packet).
