District Information

 January 26, 2021

Dear Newman Parent:

Newman International Academy is sharing this information about the district and your child’s campus with you as part of its obligations under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA) as well as Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements.

Federal Report Cards for the state, the district, and each of the district’s campuses are now available on NIA’s district’s website under the “About Us” tab, or https://www.newmanacademy.org/about_us/district_information or are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s website at: https://tea.texas.gov/Student_Testing_and_Accountability/Accountability/State_Accountability/Performance_Reporting/Federal_Report_Cards/.

As a reminder, due to COVID-19, all campuses and districts received a label of Not Rated: Declared State of Disaster for the 2019-2020 school year. Therefore, several data points have not been updated, including STAAR and academic growth data.

Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) for the state, NIA district, and each NIA campus are also available on our district website at the link above.

School Report Cards are available on our district website at the link above for the district and each campus.

Each of these reports provides a slightly different perspective regarding various aspects of our school, such as academic progress by type of student, student proficiency level by subject level, graduation rate, English language proficiency, teacher qualifications, STAAR performance, etc.

If you would like a paper copy of a Federal Report Card (about 4 pages), TAPR (over 20 pages), or School Report Card (4 pages), please contact your campus office. If you have questions about the information in these reports, please contact your campus principal.

Thank you for your continued partnership in the success of Newman International Academy!

Sincerely,

Newman International Academy Administration
